TFN IN THE UK
Since 2002, more than 800 TFN events have raised over £22 million for small charities.
Since 2002, more than 800 TFN events have raised over £22 million for small charities.
Donations come in different shapes and sizes - from £10 at a youth event to £10,000 at Connector Plus, and everything in between. Giving can be public or anonymous, matched (“I’ll match anything up to £1,000”), or challenged (“I’ll give £200 if another lawyer does the same”). Some give in memory; others from their own pocket money.
Wherever and however the money is given, it goes to the same place - delivering meaningful change to those who need it most.
No one has to give. Our role is to create the conditions where people want to - and in a way that works for them. That might mean a one-off gift on the night, or the start of a longer-term relationship that grows over time. It all begins with the event.
And it works*.
95% of charities exceed their fundraising targets
Over half receive additional funding from, or through, someone they met on the night
Post-event donations can increase total funds raised by around 50% - for example, for every £100,000 raised at an event, a further £50,000 may follow
Many of these relationships last for years, significantly increasing long-term impact
But the impact goes beyond money.
Twelve months on, charities report stronger fundraising skills, greater confidence, and lasting connections with new supporters.

For many, a TFN event is a turning point — a moment that builds momentum and opens the door to long-term sustainability and impact.

TFN around the world
Since 2012, we’ve supported partners in 31 countries to deliver the TFN model - adapting it to local contexts while staying true to the core of what makes it work.

Events have taken place everywhere from major cities to small towns, rural villages - even an outback pub. And even if you could ot understand a word that was said, you would rescognise it as a TFN event!
Together, they’ve supported a wide range of issues and needs -from marginalised communities and grassroots initiatives to First Nations rights and urgent emergency responses.
From Australia to Turkey, Colombia to Germany, and Albania to Peru, communities have come together to support small charities tackling very different challenges - united by a belief in collective giving as a force for connection and change.

Combined, these events have brought together thousands of people, raised over £10 million for hundreds of small charities and sparked countless connections.
As one attendee at an event in Poland put it: “I had no idea there were such good people in my town.”
By supporting partners around the world, we’re helping to grow cultures of collective giving in new places – extending the reach if our work far beyond wwhere it began.
This work has been made possible through the support of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Marie Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust, and the Frederick Mulder Foundation, whose backing has sustained the TFN international programme for over a decade.
