An update from Foundervine
This week, we were pleased to get an update from Foundervine about their development since we last supported them in November last year. Foundervine first took part in a TFN event in March 2019 where they raised funding to pilot their work in West Africa. They were able to raise the funding needed to start scoping out work in Ghana, while scaling their UK work. At the time, they had just 3 full-time staff.
Then they were selected to pitch to our Strategic Funding Group in 2020. They were able to raise an additional fund to grow their inclusive leadership development programme across the UK - supporting more diverse leaders to grow and pay it forward.
With TFN support, they have grown their operation significantly over the last couple of years:
- They have launched in Ghana and are part of a consortium of organisations that have raised $2.3m to support 20,000 young people across Ghana over the next few years.
- The team has grown and they will soon have 23 people working across the UK and Africa
- They are currently delivering over 19 projects + 15 commercial partnerships totalling over £1m in revenue over the next few years.
- Their fellowship programme, which was supported by TFN, has grown from 40 to 139 fellows since funding from TFN.
We are very proud to have supported Foundervine on their journey from start-up to international changemaker. You can read more about Foundervine here.
