TFN’s International Coordinator, Mihaela Giurgiu (pictured centre at Inspire Conference in Sibiu, 2018), recently took part in an interview with Rhodri Davies for his Philanthropisms podcast which, as the name suggests, focuses on all aspects global philanthropy. In the fascinating in-depth conversation, Mihaela talks about her experience of supporting civil society organisations (CSO’s) across central and eastern Europe and more recently in  South America to establish, embed and institutionalise the practice of philanthropy and the “vital role” she believes TFN’s crowdfunding model is playing in these endeavours. 

We first met Mihaela some 10 years ago through our work with ARC Romania. For the past two years she has overseen the growth and development of the TFN International Network of Affiliates in some 25 countries, to deliver events based on our model.
