TFN International: a swimathon and new partners
We're busy working on international visits for lots of guests to attend TFN London events over the coming months. Last night we were delighted to welcome Rasha Sansur, from the Dalia Foundation in Palestine, to TFN London at Rathbone Greenbank. Rasha and her colleagues are hoping to organise a TFN event in Ramallah in September - watch this space (and let us know if you'd be interested in attending the event with us). At TFN London on 4 July. you'll be able to meet with guests from Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay , Turkey and Albania, who also have plans to organise TFN events in their countries in the not too distant future.
Earlier this month, it was a pleasure to present our work to colleagues from community foundations based in the West Balkans - Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and we are working on a London visit for a delegation in September.
A quick shout out to colleagues in New Zealand and Russia, who have events in June. Our Romanian friends in Brussels and London are organising TFN events for diaspora communities in those cities on 14 June. If you'd like to come along to the London event, just let us know. There are more details here.
Lastly, Eugenie is swimming in the Budapest Swimathon on 14 June to raise funds for the work of the Ferencvarosi Community Foundation, one of TFN International's longest standing partners. If you would like to sponsor her and send a signal of solidarity to our friends in Hungary, it would be much appreciated. Here's the best bit, Fred Mulder will match every donation towards her heroic efforts to swim 1km freestyle.
