Strategic Funding Group raises £66,000 for social change
Last night we held a Strategic Funding Group evening with the aim to provide transformational funding to some projects that we have supported in the past, and our wonderful members were able to raise £66,000 in total!
As well as hearing from The Bike Project, who received SFG funding last year, we invited three projects who have presented at our events before to come back and pitch for second-stage funding:
EducAid, supported at TFN London in 2014, returned to pitch for funding to implement a full monitoring and evaluation programme.
StreetDoctors, originally funded by Young Funding Network in 2012 followed by subsequent London and partner events, pitched for support in developing teams in Glasgow and Cardiff.
African Prisons Project, who presented at Young Funding Network in 2008 and TFN London in 2014, made a pitch for funding to expand their capacity in Kenya and Uganda.
We were delighted to be able to support three great projects again and can't wait to see how they progress!
