Over £6,000 Raised for Social Enterprises at EY Foundation

We were delighted to meet new friends last week at our first live crowdfunding event in partnership with EY Foundation.

We heard a fun and energetic pitch from Jehan and Emma from Bottles of Hope, who raised over £2,000 for their early-stage social enterprise supporting education and training for disabled people through the production of solar lights made from recycled bottles.

The crowd was moved by inspirational and personal stories told by Sat from Renaissance Foundation, raising over £2,300 to grow their work supporting young people affected by illness through inspirational days out, workshops and meetings with role models.

Neil from Salford Red Devils Foundation gave an engaging pitch about how they support recently-diagnosed people with dementia and their families through sport and health activities, raising over £1,500 to develop their work.

In total, together we raised over £6,000 for these three inspiring social enterprises driving social change, who received not only financial support but also many offers of in-kind support - from marketing to office space. Watch the pitches from the night here

A big thank you to our partner and host EY Foundation, and to all who gave generously on the night.
