Over £50,000 raised at Festive Event

Last Thursday, we came together to support three fantastic projects - ProVeg UK, Stormbreak and Climate Emergency UK.

We're delighted to announce that we raised a total of £51,836.50 - almost twice our original target! Thank you to everyone that joined us in the room and online.

Thank you to Macquarie for generously hosting us. This was the 12th time that Macquarie has hosted us, the first being back in December 2014. In total, over £545,336 has been raised at Mcquarie hosted events for 45 diffeerent charities.

It's never too late to give. Any additional donations would be gratefully received.

Who pitched?

ProVeg UK - ProVeg UK is on a mission to save the planet, improve children’s health and save money. Watch their pitch to find out how their School Plates project is increasing the quantity, quality and uptake of plant based school meals and for half the price, supporting their mission to reduce global consumption of animals by 50% by 2040.

Stormbreak - According to the Department of Education, nearly 12% of 11-15 year olds have a diagnosed mental health disorder. Stormbreak pitcehd for funds to support their work with primary schools, delivering Mentally Healthy Movement programmes to help children reduce stress, build resilience and improve self-esteem.

Climate Emergency UK - On the basis that you can’t change what you can’t measure, CE UK has published the first ever Council Climate Action Scorecards, establishing a benchmark for monitoring local authorities’ action to reduce carbon emissions. Watch their pitch to hear how they’re equipping residents with information to lobby for local action and find out what your council is (or isn’t) doing.
