Over £22,200 to Help Small Non-profits Grow
We enjoyed coming together with old friends and seeing lots of new faces at TFN London last week to celebrate the beginning of Spring, eat tasty brownies, and help small non-profits grow.
To open the event, we heard a bright and bubbly impact report about all the good things that have happened at London Reclaimed since pitching last March. It was great to hear about how their new administrator is helping to support thee team who are employing, training & mentoring young people in their two social businesses.
Jake from Kitchenette Karts started off the pitches by showcasing their work helping to transition young adult offenders into fulfilling jobs in hospitality through training in their food truck. We came away inspired hearing about how a passion for cooking can help change a life.
We heard a really interesting pitch from Noam and Jemima, about the work Design Club is doing to nurture the next generation of future leaders, by teaching kids design thinking in their after-school clubs.
To round off the evening, Izzy and David from Foundervine gave a thought-provoking and powerful pitch on their work tacking inequality in tech with their entrepreneurship labs for women and minority entrepreneurs, and their plans to launch in Africa. We left feeling inspired!
By the end of the evening, together we raised over £22,200 was raised to help drive the work of these four non-profits. Were you there? Check the photos from the night.
A kind thank you to Work.Life for hosting us, and to all who gave generously.
