Over £16,000 raised to support women, gender equality and diversity

What an incredible night we had at our City Funding Network's Women & Diversity event on 25th April! The event was held at CMS and hosted by former Lord Mayor of London, Dame Fiona Woolf, who shared her story of breaking down barriers, and presented a startling statistic: if we all put aside the price of a coffee every working day then (allowing for four weeks' holiday), the City as a whole could donate £200 million to good causes over a year.

For our impact report, we invited Working Chance to come back and tell us how they've been doing since receiving funding from us - you can read about them here

After having some food and drink and getting to know each other, it was time for our City professionals to get to the most exciting part of the evening - hearing from and pledging their support for three fantastic projects working hard to improve the lives of migrant and refugee women, and the transgender and gender nonconforming communities. HERA, TAGS and Mazi Mas all made wonderful pitches explaining why the work they do is so important, and each project was able to beat their target of £5,000, collectively raising £16,800!

If you'd like to see the pictures from the event, they're on our Facebook page, and you can pay your pledge online now!
