Lensational & KickStart Ghana to partner
We’re especially excited that two projects previously funded at Young Funding Network and TFN London, Lensational and KickStart Ghana, have teamed up to work together. We spoke to Bonnie Chiu, CEO at Lensational, and David Coles, Trustee of KickStart Ghana, who told us about their partnership:
“In Ghana, Lensational is now collaborating with KickStart Ghana, a UK and Ghanaian registered charity/NGO based in Ho, which works to enhance educational opportunities for Ghanaians”, said Bonnie. The Lensational programme in collaboration with KickStart Ghana targets teenage girls; the participating girls will be equipped with skills to share their own authentic stories through photography that would otherwise not be heard. Their photographs will be made available on an online platform where they are available for sale, showcased in an exhibition, and their stories spread via various communication channels. We are extremely excited about this partnership as both organisations are very aligned in their values and hopefully we will see more TFN grantees collaboration in the future.”
“KickStart Ghana is delighted to be partnering with Lensational, an organisation who have had success all over the world empowering women through photography”, said David. “We’re passionate about education and providing extra-curricular activities for young Ghanaians. This project will equip teenage girls in Ho with the skills to tell their stories and we can’t wait to see the results.”
“It’s also particularly special to collaborate with another TFN funded organisation and we thank TFN for connecting us.”
