Inspiring trust is key, says Charity Commission
The Charity Commission has issued a new report on public trust. Published last week, the report highlights the four key ways that charities can remain an important part of society:
- Making clear where the money goes
- Making the impact that they have promised
- Having an impact that is consistent with the spirit of 'charity'
- Having a collective responsibility and upholding the reputation of charity
At The Funding Network, trust is key. We have a membership made up of individuals and businesses passionate about social change.
Members play a key role in finding non-profit organisations, take an active part in our selection process, and give to the causes at live crowdfunding events. At each stage, members have a chance to get involved and assess the organisations' potential. After organisations have been supported, members receive regular updates on progress, including a full impact report after twelve months.
