Discover the next “Cracked It” at Crowdbacker
We’re excited to be partnering with our good friends at Year Here on our ninth Crowdbacker event on Tuesday 28th January.
Year Here is a postgraduate course in social innovation based in London. The course offers entrepreneurial people the chance to create smart solutions to some of the most entrenched social problems – think Josh Babarinde’s Cracked It and Rich Grahame’s Settle. Both of these great projects came to TFN through Crowdbacker events which in total have raised well over £100,000 for 30 such ventures.
Ventures we’ll be hearing from at the forthcoming event include Impactful, a social innovation agency that unlocks the potential for positive social impact in commercially-driven businesses; Pivot, which creates employment opportunities for people experiencing homelessness through hand made goods; Curo, an on-demand, digital support system for carers who are juggling work and care; Breakthrough, the UK’s first apprenticeship scheme recruiting from prison; and Chatti, a digital service that encourages parents to build a routine of spending high-quality time with their preschool children.
Crowdbacker events are open to anyone to attend. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased here. As always, there is no pressure to give, but with projects this good, you’ll have to sit hard on your hands not to do so!
