Our annual partnership event with the Environmental Funders Network took place last Wednesday, supporting three fantastic not-for-profit organisations tackling pressing environmental issues. We were delighted to support the Sustainable Soils Alliance, The Orchard Project and the Poverty and Environment Trust - you can read more about their work below. At the event, a small but mighty group of committed donors came together to raise over £66,000 for these three exceptional organisations. You can watch their pitches on our YouTube channel and if you'd like to support any of the charities you can do so using this form.
Thank you to all those who came and supported!
Sustainable Soils Alliance: launched in 2017, the SSA seeks to see UK soils restored to health through sustainable management within a generation. Healthy soils are critical for clean water, biodiversity, climate change mitigation and food - yet 1/3 of global soils are degraded with potentially catastrophic consequences for life on Earth.
The Orchard Project: The Orchard Project is the national charity for community orchards. Their mission is to bring orchards into the heart of urban communities. Their primary aims are to improve access to orchards across wider social groups, enable sustainable communities, champion orchards, and take action on climate and food through orchards.
Poverty and Environment Trust: The Poverty and Environment Trust aims to reduce UK greenhouse gas emissions in a way that empowers and includes communities living in poverty. Their current focus is the Community Energy Revolution, which aims to do this by unblocking the remarkable potential for local renewable energy generation to benefit UK communities.
