Oxford Gives 2017
About This Event
Back in 2008 a dedicated group of volunteers brought TFN to Oxford. Ever since, they have supported local, grassroots organisations who do extraordinary work in their communities. This year we'll be celebrating TFN Oxford's 10th event, 40th project, £200,000 raised and countless lives changed for the better. This wouldn't have been possible were it not for such a fantastic local group of givers, small and large, who want to see change in the world around them. Join us and our long-time friends Rathbone Greenbank in a new home at the Jesus College Conference Centre. We'll have a special photo exhibition showcasing projects from across the years, bubbles, canapés, and a spot of cake to boot!
And of course, come and meet four more local projects seeking your support to make the change you want to see in the world.
At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.
Windrush Bike Project provides people who are out of work, due to poor physical or mental health, the chance to socialise and acquire new skills in a work like environment.
SAFE helps parents and carers whose children aged 8-18 have been victims of crime with the skills, techniques and knowledge of how best to support them.
The Porch develops employability skills for homeless and vulnerable people in order to give them a realistic opportunity to find part-time work or volunteering.
Home-Start Oxford supports parents and children under five who have lived through domestic abuse to rebuild relationships and create positive parenting.
