About This Event

Our Summer Connector was generously hosted by Rathbone Greenbank Investments. The three brilliant small charities - Artistic Spectrum, Give a Book and Greener and Cleaner - smashed their fundraising targets! Through the power of collective giving, we raised £60,700 in a matter of minutes.

We are grateful to celebrity sponsors Sophie McShera, Toby Stephens and Paul Ready for having joined us in-person on the night to give passionate and personal endorsements of the impactful work these small charities undertake.

There's still time to donate! We are facilitating donations through our online pledge payment form. Support these excellent projects below.

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

Artistic Spectrum gives adults and children with autism spectrum disorders the opportunity to develop their creativity in a safe and supportive environment. Established in 2013, they have their own welcoming and supportive gallery and workshop, The ArtSpace, in South Yorkshire. They are seeking funding to help them scale their Famous Faces project. Running for several years, participants of the project meet regularly to create portraits of celebrities that are exhibited locally, leaving them calmer and more fulfilled.

Give a Book promotes books and reading in the hardest places. Their core belief is that to pass on a good read – to give a book – is a transaction of lasting worth. Since 2013, they have been promoting reading for pleasure in over 40 prisons across the UK. Prison Reading Groups are a valuable way to not only improve literacy, but foster respect and mutual support which can be hard in prison. Funding from TFN would contribute to the costs of running reading groups and family reading initiatives and enable Give a Book to expand further and to manage partnerships, volunteers and new projects more effectively.

Greener and Cleaner is a network of 7,000 households and 90+ volunteers in South East London. They work collaboratively with local residents, groups and councils to galvanise people from all walks of life to take individual and collaborative action in combating the climate and biodiversity crisis while co-benefitting community resilience, inclusion and wellbeing. Funding will help them run their sustainability support Hub. Since 2022, the Hub has provided peer to peer advice 5 days a week and hosted over 150 community sustainability skills workshops.
