Year Here Crowdbacker
About This Event
Year Here Crowdbacker is back!
The pandemic exposed deep racial and economic inequalities and, last summer, fascism once again reared its ugly head on Britain’s streets.
Through Crowdbacker, we’ve raised thousands for social ventures over the years. Now we’re turning its focus to another problem: social entrepreneurship is deeply inaccessible to Black and Asian founders, and other people of colour.
Join us at x+why’s People’s Mission Hall in Whitechapel on the evening of Wednesday 2nd April to experience the thrill of live pitching and pledging — emceed by Year Here Fellow and Member of Parliament, Josh Babarinde OBE CF MP.
In partnership with Year Here and Black Funding Network, we’re helping these ventures scale their impact to the next level.
At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.
