About This Event

9th June 2022 - 6:00pm

This event will take place on 9th June, please use this link to register your attendance.

We are delighted to be working with TFN Member Patricia Hamzahee and her team at the Black Funding Network once again to bring you a live (online) crowdfunding event supporting Black-led non profits. The Black Funding Network is a collective effort to drive meaningful change for Black-owned not-for-profits and the communities they serve by delivering much-needed funding and support for long-term success.

How It Works

At our live crowdfunding events, non-profits that are nominated and selected by members pitch for £10,000 each. Our events are open to anyone to attend and donations range from £10 to £10,000. Not been to a live crowdfunding event before? Read this to find out more.

The Projects

At our events, charities pitch for 6 minutes before taking questions from the audience.

Urban MBA Logo

The University for Street Entrepreneurs works to develop enterprise skills so no young person is lost or left behind. Urban MBA empowers marginalised and disengaged young adults (not in education, employment or training) with the confidence, knowledge and focus to strive for success and independence.

5Aside Theatre Logo

Promotes awareness of the African Caribbean communities to Britain through partnerships with arts organisations, other charities and schools events to produce community events that promote well-being, healthy living, sports camps for children on free school meals as well as training emerging artists as community theatre performers and workshop leaders.

Mindwalk Yoga logo

Mindwalk Yoga is a social enterprise which exists to represent and empower Black women to embrace yoga for their well-being. Black women in the UK are at a higher risk of mental ill-health, are disproportionately impacted by social detriments associated with mental illness and are more likely to seek treatment only when at crisis point.
