Young Funding Network (YFN) is the young people's offshoot of The Funding Network. We hold events where you can come together with other young people to have fun and support the causes you care about. You'll likely find a cheap bar, live music and loads of other lovely surprises. Then comes the exciting bit; you'll hear from three inspirational projects and have the chance to support them with your time, money and skills. There is no requirement for membership of YFN, and your £10 ticket serves as a donation to the project of your choice on the night!
We are a volunteer-led initiative, and in 2015 we received our first grant funding from Macquarie Group Foundation, enabling us to increase the support we provide to young social change projects.
On 24th January 2017, YFN teamed up with the LSE Volunteer Centre to kick-start three innovative social change projects - The 4Front Project, Development in Action and Chatterbox collectively raised more than £3,600 and loads of volunteering support. If you want to relive the action or have a look at what you missed, you can check out photos from the event here.
We try to get the grants to the projects as quickly as possible, so f you attended the event and are yet to pay your pledge please do so here.
