" The presenters of the projects were really passionate about their projects and it showed during their presentation.  The audience was moved! We managed to raise R156 000. The presenters were extremely happy, some, also moved to tears. We also had some non financial pledges, read out during the pledging session i.e. an ex proffesional ballet dancer offering her time to teach ballet, once a week for one hour at "Sigiya Sonke" in Alexandra (they managed to raise the most money - R40 000+). A TV producer offered to enter the "Bound movie" into the short film festival for documentaries for the Reach for Life project. She also offered to give some exposure to the mxit Open Disclosure project for sexually abused victims via advertising on two of the teenage TV stations that she is working on.
