PROJECT
The Forgiveness Project is an organisation working to promote conflict resolution and restorative justice as alternatives to the endless cycles of conflict, violence and crime that are the hallmarks of our time.

"Since presenting last weekend, we have not only been awarded the money that we were pitching for, but have also been approached to apply for two significant grants by people who were introduced to our project on the day. To meet the potential funders, take questions, and discuss over lunch makes a refreshing and personalised change from the usual process of applying for monies 'from afar'. "
Georges Ames, The Forgiveness Project

COMMENTS FROM OTHER PROJECTS ABOUT TFN:
"My main comment about TFN, apart from it being incredibly well organised, is that I feel it is at the forefront of social change. This is both because it brings together funders and projects, but more because it is a focal point for many networks."
Boo Armstrong, Get Well UK

"I think the idea of re-engaging real people (donors) with real projects, is desperately needed, I think fundraising has become increasingly professionalised and remote, leading to a lack of trust and confidence between charities and donors. This process re-humanizes the experience and lets people like Chrissey and I get our message across directly, without masses of paperwork and bureaucracy."
Alistair Wilson, School for Social Entrepreneurs

"It is such a tonic to be allowed to address people who are prepared to be open minded, engaged and enthusiastic. The grant makes an enormous difference to us, its financial importance being matched by the method by which it was given: there is a real social benefit from meeting people who actually want to support such initiatives. In short, the idea of TFN clearly works. I spoke recently with someone about how utterly disconnected the parties in grant-giving situations often are. TFN is doing something constructive to address this situation."
Ed Baxter, Resonance FM
