New Year Honour for our Founder
The Funding Network is delighted to announce that our Founder and recently retired Chair, Frederick Mulder, was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s 2012 New Year Honours list. Fred was awarded the honour in recognition for his services to philanthropy.
We are so pleased that Fred’s amazing work has been formally acknowledged and, as we saw at our recent event where Fred retired as Chair, there are many other people queuing up to pay tribute to him:
“Fred, you are one of the most articulate visionaries in our global philanthropic matrix. You not only create bold ideas to leverage giving; you give yourself and of yourself – a generous contagion of influence for good. ” Dame Stephanie Shirley.
“You have been a huge source of support and advice personally and The Funding Network has been an enormous gift to us. Thank you for your hard work in assembling that group of people, in launching The Funding Network and leading it so that it thrived.” Clare Algar & Clive Stafford Smith, Reprieve.
“In hatching the very idea of The Funding Network, Fred has changed the landscape of charitable engagement, particularly amongst the younger generation in the City. It is a completely brilliant yet simple idea. You have left a considerable pair of shoes for us all to try to fill.” Jon Snow, TFN Patron.
“Without you Fred, our Film ‘Age of Stupid’ would not exist. You have supported us on every step of your seven year – and counting – journey. We salute you, we adore you and we thank you.” Franny Armstrong & Lizzie Gillett, Director & Producer of the Age of Stupid and founders of the 10:10 campaign.
“If only there were more people in the world like you.” Tessa Tennant. This entry was posted in Featured, News. Bookmark the permalink.
