How It Works
The Funding Network attracts hundreds of attendees to its funding events each year. Over the last nine years we have brought together 4,500 individuals at 107 events to raise over £4 million for 576 local, national and international projects creating social change.
Here’s how a TFN event works in a nutshell:
- At an event, you will hear directly from 4-6 charities, who will have just 6 minutes each to say what they could do with £5,000 and 6 minutes to take questions.
- Then, all the presenters leave, and we have a pledging session – which is like being part of a live telethon. You do not have to give but giving is contagious.
- Everyone has the chance to contribute (if they wish) to help each charity raise the amount they need to carry out their work.
- By the end of the evening, we all know how much has been raised and can celebrate over a drink.
- A year later, funded charities supply TFN with a report to let donors know the impact of the money they received. At each event, a charity funded at a previous event comes back to tell attendees about the impact of our funding.
Our events range from Funding Days and Evenings, with over 100 attendees at venues including the offices of our partners, The Hub, RIBA and The North Wall Arts Centre in Oxford.
