About the Event
After a successful event in 2011, TFN Devon is holding another event in partnership with the Devon Community Foundation.
There will be four great projects pitching at this event:
Amigos Worldwide - Whether orphaned through HIV/Aids, rebel activity, poverty or family breakdown, in Uganda, education often takes second place for vulnerable young people when survival is the priority.
Changing Tunes – Befriending, building self-esteem, educating and changing attitudes can bring the re-offending rate of 61% down to less than 15% – which is a 75% reduction on the national average!
Devon School of Social Entrepreneurs – Developing the individual, organisation and community, social change is powered by people and the most valuable assets and resources we have are human ones.
Grow@Jigsaw – This project encourages a passion for locally grown vegetables and healthy eating for the community. Participants include adults at risk of homelessness, the long-term unemployed and young people and adults with learning difficulties.
