Sonal Shenai - Executive Director
I started my career in management consulting for the public sector at PA Consulting and then moved on to providing strategic advice to the Chief Executive of Random House and later HarperCollins Publishers. After several years of volunteering through small charities such as Friendship Works, I moved to the voluntary sector and was delighted to become The Funding Network’s first Executive Director.
In my spare time, I have been a Governor at Moselle School, a community special school in Tottenham. I have an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from Oxford University. I live in London with my husband and children.

Karen Millen - Coordinator
I graduated in 2006 from the University of Lincoln with a degree in International Relations. I then studied at Kings College London and completed my MA in Conflict, Security and Development in 2010.
I have always been keen to work in the charity sector and after finishing my Masters degree, I spent nine months volunteering at Dementia UK. I joined as TFN’s Coordinator in October 2011.
